This Saturday October 13, 2012 the Cub Scouts are having there Expo. The help is needed with guiding the scouts around camp to various activities, campfires, stations, as well has getting people parked and fed saterday. Youth and adult help is needed and you need to be there by 8 am at the administration building at camp in your uniform with your OA sash. Come join us on September 16 and 17 for the September ordeal. Lots of fun and fellowship to be had for those coming back. For those coming for there Ordeal we will be looking forward to seeing you there. If you are coming back or if it is going to be your first time with us as a lodge please call the council office so we have enough food for everyone. Remember for those coming back it is a free weekend. Lets make this a great weekend to start off the new officers with for their year.
Hello Arrowmen and Scouters,
is a service day at Camp Mt Run to help prepare for this years . We in the OA know all about Service to camp, we wrote the book, it is what we are about. I know last weekend was Conclave (I really had a great time) and I also know that we just had our spring ordeal/service weekend in May. But I also know that our lodge has 427 members and not all of them have been contributing service to the lodge they belong too. SOOO here is your chance to give about 4 hours of service to Camp Mt Run and get a free Steak Dinner. A win win for you and the lodge. We all have our own lawns to mow, gardens to weed, ball games to attend and families to spend time with (bring the family along), but as Arrowmen we also have an obligation to help our Council Camping Program. Enough said folks. If you can make it come to CMR this weekend and help make some tent platforms, or set up some tents or clean up a . Just show up and you will have a job assigned to you. Call Council to sign up for Conclave 2011. It will be held at Elk Lick Scout Reservation. The cost of Conclave is $30 plus $12 for the lodge t-shirt. Nathan Wilson is this years conclave chairman and he will be very glad to take a large group with him this year so lets make it happen.
The meeting for the month of October will be on the 7th at the service center at 1:00 pm
The lodge is once again excepting dues of $12 for dues. This is the early bird fee which is good through January 31, 2011. After January 31, 2011 the dues will once again go back up too $15. Please take part in this deal as it will prevent the lodge from contacting you throughout the year about paying dues. When we do mailing for dues we have to spend money which could be prevented which would allow the cost of dues to drop. You can pay your dues at any function that you see the lodge at. The Council Service Center always excepts dues for the OA.
The lodge is in need of members that are not running with there troops. The lodge provides support to the cub scouts and boy scouts at both of the events.
Help for Klondike includes Guides to help the cubs navigate camp, assist at the stations, and help in the Elk Standing Cafe. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the Council Center if you can help. Please be present at Hallstrom Lodge the morning of Febuary 12 at 8:00 A.M. to help out.
Help for Polar Bear is needed. If you are running with your troop you are asked to help out by running with your troop. In the OA troop activities come first. We will need help in the Elk Standing Cafe, at stations, and for runners around camp. If you can help out please email us at email@example.com or call the Council Center. If you can help please be at the Hallstrom Lodge building the morning of January 22 at 8:00 A.M.
Members from Ah'tic Lodge have been present at every Klondike and Polar Bear in the past helping out. It would be great to have enough members for everyone to move around through the day. Parking help may be needed at both events depending on the weather and how many vehicles show up for the events.
It is not hard work but can be with few members helping. This is our way of providing support to the Cub scouts and Boy scouts in our Council. This goes as part of the Lodge's service ours that we need every year toward camp. If you need service hours for school or anything else this counts as long as you bring a paper to have filled out.
Call the Council Service Center in Dubois to reserve your spot at the Mighty Ah'tic Lodge's Winter Fellowship Weekend we need this number so that we will be ready to provide food for you. We will be holding it at Camp Mountain Run in Penfield, PA across the lake at the Ah'tic Lodge's Lake Cabin. The lodge looks greatly on this cabin as we are the ones who built it along with help from many other people that mad this project possible. This weekend will be held on January 7-9, 2011. We will be charging a small fee of $10 for the cost of food for the weekend. We ask that if you can be there around 6 on friday night for registration that would be great. The cabin will be kept warm by all the fire wood that we have cut and split at the cabin. Bring some snacks to share, your favorite game, game system, games, movies, and anything else you want. We may be outside but we will not be working. We will do some drumming for everyone that wants to try it. The theme for this year is going to be simply "Fun, Food, and Fellowship". If we cannot hold to that theme there may just be something wrong. We will be holding a game of history and information about the OA and lodge. Saterday night supper will be at 5, followed by the lodge meeting. There will be both Protestant and Catholic services held Saturday night at 7pm. The lodge is hoping for a great turn out this year of both adults and youth members. If you are planning on attending or visiting please call council so we have a count for food during the weekend. We do not want to run out of food.
The lodge is still in need of members to pay 2010 dues for quality lodge. Dues need paid for 2010. Pass the word in your troop we need membership paid up by December 29. Email the lodge at Ahtic139@gmail.com if you are going to pay your dues so we can mark you paid.
If you are member of the lodge you need to pay your dues in order to be in good standing with the lodge that you promised to stay a member of in your ordeal. If you are an OAtroop representative or a scout master the lodge asks that you make sure your troop is all paid up. We need your dues to make sure that we get quality lodge this year and we have the funds that are needed to feed everyone including you when we have work days. When you mail in your dues we ask that you also include your name, phone number, email, street address, date of your ordeal, brotherhood, and vigil. All of this makes it easier for the lodge to get information out to you and make sure that we have your information correct in our system with national and for mailing. We are offering a special deal for dues this year. If you send in $8 you will be payed in full for 2010. If you pay $20 dollars your dues will be payed for 2010 and 2011. This is important that we get this done.
The December Lodge Meeting will be held at the Council Center in Dubios on Friday December 14, 2010. The meeting will start promptly at 5 PM . We will be finishing up the last minute things for fellowship. Please mark this on your calender to attend and put forth your part in the meeting. The meeting is expected to last no longer than two hours at the very most. The next lodge meeting will be held during winter fellowship on friday night or saterday afternoon.
We are only in need of 3 more members of the lodge to come forward and seal your membership in the lodge. It only takes less than an hour to complete the tasks that are needed to complete this step forward into the lodge. (814)-594-8575. This is very important that you step forward for the lodge to complete this years quality lodge.
Because of difficulties with the old website, Ah'tic Lodge's website committee is in the middle of creating a new website. It is our hope that this new site enables our members to become more active in the lodge, and feel a part of the brotherhood they are now in. We do ask for your patience as we complete this task. Only members of the lodge that are members of the site can use the site to the best of it's capabilities.

Winter fellowship is a weekend long camp out with absolutely no work. The only thing we do is party the whole time. You can bring a game system if you wish to. We have lots of fun. The weekend food is cooked by the adults of the lodge. In the past we have had a Hawaiian luau theme and are looking for member input for this years theme This year Winter Fellow ship will on January 7, 8, and 9. *** The lodge is also in need of a cook for the work days. We do not need a trained chef but anyone is welcome to help out. Let Council Center know if you are interested in helping the lodge out this year.
